Education and Experience

I am an Associate Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Antioch University Seattle and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art with a Painting Specialization from Ball State University.

 

I am a member of AATA (the American Art Therapy Association) and the ACA (American Counseling Association)

Areas of Specialization and Interest

My predominate focus is upon serving the LGBTQI community, with a particular interest in supporting trans* individuals. I work with with individuals–teens, adults, and seniors

 

Therapeutic Approach

My style of therapy is open and direct. I believe establishing a solid, trusting relationship is critical to working effectively with anyone, but particularly with adolescents and pre-teens. The primary therapeutic technique I use is talking; however, I also use some experiential activities such as, art, journaling, role-playing and therapeutic games.
